Farmers sell on wheat rally
Feed Wheat
London feed wheat for November 2025 closed yesterday at £161.50, down from the week’s high of £164.60 during Monday's rally driven by easing US-China trade tensions, but up 0.9% from last week’s close of £160.10. Prices have eased amid farmers selling and profit-taking yet have found support by losses in sterling against the dollar.
On Hectare Trading, feed wheat received offers up to £188 in Yorkshire and the Humber for June 2026 movement, with a price offer range of £5, and saw offers of £187 in Central Scotland for November 2026 movement, with an offer range of £12.
Milling Wheat
Paris milling wheat for December 2025 closed at €191.25 (£168.21), down from a high of €193.50 (£170.18) on Monday with Argentinian and Australian expected supply putting pressure on the market, but up 0.5% from last week’s closing price of €190.25 (£167.33).
On Hectare Trading, Group 1 wheat achieved offers of £181 in Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire for January 2026 movement. Group 2 wheat saw offers of £175 in the West Midlands for December 2025 movement. Group 3 wheat received offers up to £187 in Central Scotland for November 2026 movement.
Group 4 (soft) wheat achieved offers up to £188 in North East Scotland for June 2026 movement, with an offer range of £10, while Group 4 (hard) wheat saw offers of £180 in East Anglia for July 2026.
Oilseeds
Paris rapeseed for November 2025 closed at €478.50 (£420.84), up 2% from last week’s close of €469.25 (£412.71) encouraged by the recovery in soybeans following US-China trade talks.
Oilseed rape achieved offers of up to £415 in Northumberland & Scottish Borders for March 2026 movement.
Other Crop
Elsewhere on Hectare Trading, feed oats received offers of £110 in Yorkshire and the Humber for December 2025 movement, while feed barley achieved offers of £162 in Northumberland & Scottish Borders for March 2026 movement.

🌾 Group 2, 3, 4, and Feed Wheat is wanted for collection from the East Anglia area. Wanted at £165-175/t ex-farm for spot movement.
🌾 Barley screenings are wanted for collection from Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, and Norfolk. Wanted at £80-90/t ex-farm for spot movement.
🌾 116t of Group 1 Wheat is wanted for collection from the East Anglia area. Wanted at £175-178/t ex-farm for spot movement.
