Wheat and rapeseed prices fall amid stronger sterling and euro

London feed wheat for July 2025 fell to £157.55, down 3.3% from last week's closing price of £162.95. London feed wheat dropped due to a stronger pound and an increased UK wheat stocks forecast. The carry to November 2025 widened to £21.00.
On Hectare Trading, feed wheat saw price offers up to £192 in Central Scotland for November 2025 movement, with a bid spread of £4, and received offers up to £189 in East Anglia for June 2026 movement, with a wider bid spread of £27.
Paris milling wheat for September 2025 fell to £169.93 (€202.00), down 2.2% from last week's closing price of £173.72 (€206.50). Paris milling wheat recovered slightly despite initial currency pressures. The carry to December 2025 widened to £9.46.
On Hectare Trading, Group 4 (soft) wheat saw offers up to £184 in North East Scotland for May 2025 movement, with a bid spread of £2.
Paris rapeseed for August 2025 fell to £397.49 (€472.50), down 3.3% from last week's closing price of £410.95 (€488.50). Paris rapeseed fell sharply under the weight of a stronger euro and technical selling. The carry to November 2025 narrowed to £4.42.
Elsewhere on Hectare Trading, feed barley in the West Midlands received offers up to £166 for June 2025 movement. With eight different price offers, the seller achieved an £18 bid spread, netting an additional £720 for 40 tonnes.

🌾 Winter Feed Barley is wanted for collection from Shropshire, Staffordshire, Herefordshire, and Worcestershire. Wanted at £165-£170/t ex-farm for spot movement.
🌾 G1 Milling Wheat is wanted for delivery into North Shropshire or Cheshire. Wanted at £205/t delivered for next week's movement. Only 174t required, the contract may have been filled.
🌾 Feed Wheat is wanted for delivery into Yorkshire (near Hull). Wanted at £172-174/t for July movement (500t).
