Strong dollar supports European wheat prices
Feed Wheat
London feed wheat for November 2025 firmed up to £169.30, up 1.4% from last week’s close of £167.00. The market has found support following the increased strength of the dollar. The carry to May 2026 narrowed to £11.20.
On Hectare Trading, feed wheat received price offers of £203 (for 2026 crop) in North East Scotland for May 2027 movement, and £171 in Yorkshire and the Humber for August 2025 movement.
Milling Wheat
Paris milling wheat for September 2025 rose to €197.25 (£170.71), a 0.9% gain on last week’s €195.50 (£169.19) close. Likewise prices were helped by a weaker euro and renewed importer appetite reported from Syria and China. The carry to May 2026 narrowed to £7.57.
On Hectare Trading, Group 1 wheat received price offers up to £191 in the West Midlands for October 2025 movement, with a price offer range of £6. Group 2 wheat saw offers of £181 in Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire for December 2025 movement, while Group 3 wheat received offers of £171 in East Anglia for January 2026 movement. Group 4 hard wheat was offered at £177 in Northumberland for December 2025 movement, and Group 4 soft wheat saw offers of £211 in North East Scotland for May 2027 movement.
Oilseed
Paris rapeseed for November 2025 edged higher to €476.75 (£412.59), up 0.6% from last week’s €473.75 (£410.00), supported by the weaker euro. The carry to February 2026 widened to £4.76.
On Hectare Trading, oilseed rape achieved offers up to £407 in the West Midlands for November 2025 movement, with a price offer range of £7.
Other Crop
Elsewhere on Hectare Trading, milling oats saw offers of £188 in North East Scotland for November 2026 movement. Feed barley saw offers up to £160 in the North West for August 205 movement, with a price offer range of £8.
Wanted Crop
🌱 Feed Beans are wanted for collection from Kent and Sussex. Wanted at £205-£210/t ex-farm for September/October movement.
🌾 Milling Oats are wanted for collection from Kent and Sussex. Wanted at £140-£150/t ex-farm for September/October movement.
🌾 Rye is wanted for collection from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk. Wanted at £170-£180/t ex-farm for September-December movement (145t).
