Milling wheat and oilseed prices under pressure
Feed Wheat
London feed wheat for November 2025 held steady at £168.40, up just 0.2% from last week’s close of £168.05. Gains were capped by sterling strength, which has reduced export competitiveness. The carry to May 2026 narrowed to £10.65.
On Hectare Trading, feed wheat received a top price offer of £185 in Scotland (Scottish Borders) for January 2026 movement, and also received a top price offer of £176 in England (West Midlands) for October 2025 movement.
Milling Wheat
Paris milling wheat for September 2025 dropped sharply to €189.50 (£163.81), down 3.6% from the closing price of €196.50 (£169.87) last week. The fall was driven by euro strength, reducing competitiveness on the export market, amid reports of increased crop estimates in key growing regions. The carry to May 2026 widened to £13.18.
On Hectare Trading, Group 1 wheat received price offers up to £194 in Yorkshire and the Humber for September 2025 movement, with a price offer range of £6. Group 2 wheat received price offers up to £175 in Essex & Hertfordshire for September 2025 movement.
Next year’s crop (2026 harvest) of Group 4 Hard wheat received price offers up to £190 in East Anglia for June 2027 movement.
Oilseed
Paris rapeseed for November 2025 eased to €465.50 (£402.40), down 2.1% from last week’s €475.50 (£411.05). The decline followed pressure on Winnipeg canola and global soyoil markets. The carry to February 2026 widened to £5.84.
On Hectare Trading, oilseed rape received a top price offer of £393 in Yorkshire and the Humber for September 2025 movement.
Other Crop
Elsewhere on Hectare Trading, beans received price offers up to £222 in the South West for September 2025 movement, with a price offer range of £10, and feed barley received price offers up to £162 in North Wales for August 2025 movement, with an offer range of £6.

🌾 116t Feed Barley is wanted for collection from Shropshire, Herefordshire, and Cheshire. Wanted at £158-£163/t ex-farm for September-November movement.
🌾 290t Feed Wheat is wanted for collection from Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Shropshire, Staffordshire, and Herefordshire. Wanted at £169-£174/t ex-farm for September-October movement..
