Founder and CEO Jamie McInnes joined forces with beef farmer Dan Luff and arable farmer Andrew Huxham to form Hectare, building technology dedicated to agricultural industry success. Now, with a diverse team coming from both farming and technology backgrounds, each and every one of our Hectare Herd are passionate about supporting agricultural businesses across the UK.

TOBY
Team: Commercial
Bio: Before joining Hectare, Toby studied at agricultural specialist university Harper Adams and worked on farms across the midlands, taking on several harvest, dairy and contract jobs. Toby now works as an Account Executive introducing our software to new customers and sharing how Hectare can increase efficiency on their farms.
In his spare time, Toby enjoys socialising with friends, trips to the pub and playing sports such as tennis, golf and clay pigeon shooting.

ANDREW
Team: Co-founder
Bio: After growing up on a West Sussex farm and studying Agricultural Business Management at Reading University, Andrew worked as a commercial pilot for several years before returning to his family’s arable farming business and becoming director of a large Grain Storage cooperative.
In 2015 Andrew helped launch the revolutionary new grain trading platform Graindex, and co-founded Hectare together with Jamie McInnes and Dan Luff.

SARAH
Team: Commercial
Bio: Sarah has a wealth of experience collaborating with arable farmers after helping to establish a network of loyal Graindex customers. Sarah is now dedicated to bringing Hectare Inventory to large farms, estates and farm management businesses across the UK.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys competing in equestrian competitions, playing tennis, and skiing in winter.

RACHEL
Team: Commercial
Bio: Rachel has been with Hectare since 2021, where her role has included managing the community of Graindex buyers. She also now helps spread the word about Hectare and bring new customers onto our Inventory and Trading platforms.
Rachel often spends her spare time with her children, as well as horse-riding, playing tennis and socialising with friends.
