LAMMA 2026 round-up
Last week the Hectare Trading team headed to the NEC for LAMMA 2026 – and it was great to see such a strong turnout from across the industry.
Over two busy days, our stand was a hub of conversation, with farmers, merchants and agricultural consultants stopping by to talk openly about the realities of trading in a challenging market. From rising input costs and market volatility to confidence in pricing and payment security, the same themes came up time and again – and it was encouraging to see how many people are actively looking for more resilient, transparent ways to trade.
It was particularly great to catch up with existing Hectare Trading sellers already using the marketplace, hearing first-hand how online grain trading is helping them reach a broader range of buyers, reduce risk and take control of when and how they sell. Alongside that, we had plenty of new faces discovering Hectare Trading for the first time, with lots of great conversations about how online trading can work alongside traditional routes.
We also ran a stand competition asking visitors to estimate how much more the average farm could earn on 2,000 tonnes of feed wheat using Hectare Trading. The competition sparked some great conversations and gave plenty of people a chance to put their market instincts to the test. Alongside that, we gave away plenty of Hectare Trading beanies and air fresheners, which proved very popular across the two days!
Catch us on P.X. Farms
We joined the P.X. Farms team for their LAMMA YouTube roundup, where Lizzie Blower and co-founder Dan Luff reflected on our time at the show, discussed how online trading and market transparency are changing the way farms manage risk and cashflow, and shared what’s coming up next with our new Crops feature.

While Hectare Trading operates online, events like LAMMA remind us of the value of face-to-face interaction – listening to feedback, sharing ideas, and understanding what farmers really need to thrive.
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with the team. Keep an eye out for our announcement of the winner of our YETI Rambler giveaway!
